From 2001 to 2003, he was Director of Corporate Business Development for Canon, U.S.A. in San Jose, California. From 1995 to 2001, Jayaram worked for The Boston Consulting Group in Chicago and Mumbai. Jayaram received a bachelor’s of technology in ceramic engineering from the Institute of Technology at Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, India, in 1990. He received a doctorate in materials science and engineering from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, in 1995.
