This weekend is the 12th annual Celtic Fling & Highland Games at the Mt. Hope Estate and Winery in Manheim, PA. This is important for a number of reasons. 

1. It's a rockin' good time
2. Loads of people will be there, enjoying loads of Celtic music
3. Yours Truly, NeidFyre, will be performing there for the First Time EVER!

Hi Everyone,

Now begins the frantic race for getting ready for my first cross-country trip in a year! I leave for the Arizona Ren faire next Wednesday! I'm so excited to be heading back down there. The show is just lovely, as are all the people involved with it.

With 2 house moves in less than 3 months, I've been a tad busy these days.

I realize I've not updated my schedule in quite some time, but so everyone knows, I'll be at the Maryland Renaissance Festival for the rest of the season! 6 more weeks of fun, mayhem, and me!

I'll be playing for the Ariel Angels at 11:30, 2:45 and 3:45 between Foster's Glassworks and Gypsy Silk Scarves. The rest of the time you can find me wandering the paths.

It's been a bit of a roller coaster, but this week I'm Bristol Ren Faire bound. I'm only there this weekend, so if you're in the neighborhood please stop by the show and say hi! There will be hugs, CD's and tush squishes available. :D

Hi Everyone!

I can't believe how crazy the past few weeks have been. We're finally moved (Yippee!!) into our tiny, I mean cozy house. :grin: Let the unpacking begin!

My season at VARF is over, which makes me sad.

The next trip, to OWRF in Twig, MN begins TODAY! I'll be driving to MN over the next 2 days. Faire is THIS weekend (June 14/15). I've never been to that part of the country, so I'm looking forward to it. In addition, I've got some very dear friends close by that I've not seen in many years so that'll be fun too. I'm a little nervous about the weather, but it should all be good.

Time to get my day going. I will have the laptop with me, so look for updates!

I'm simply in shock that it's just 30 minutes away from being June 11. I've no idea where the weeks have gone (lets not even mention the year!).

I'm finally making some blog updates, so check them out!
I also wanted to say thank you to everyone who came to see me at VARF this year. You all were fantastic audience members, and you let me have my wicked way with you all!

The cast, crew, boothies, and independents were simply amazing to work with. I got to reconnect with some old friends and I made a bunch of new ones.

Hi everyone :)

I'm finally uploading pictures from 4 Winds, Mayfaire and VARF. It's been a bit slow lately with the move and all, but they will be up in the next week or so.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who has sent me pictures! Not only is it hard to take pictures of myself while I'm playing (hahah!) but it's amazing to me to see what has been captured in those photos.

I'm having a spectacular time at VARF this year! Don't forget that I'll be there for two more weeks, so come on and visit!

The move is going slowly, but today is the last day with the movers so things are a bit scattered. Wish me luck with everything!

Hubbie and I are moving next Tuesday (next week, when crazy landladies strike!) so things are a bit out of sorts.
The move is scheduled for next Tues/Thurs so things should even out once that's done.

This weekend I'll be down in Spotsylvania at the Virginia Renaissance Faire.

I'm not on listed on the schedule, but I will be performing Saturday, 5/17.
Look for me to be playing at the food tent, the pub, and in the lanes.

Its pirate weekend, so grab your eyepatch, your lucky peg-leg, and the stripiest socks you own, and we'll all have a blast!

I think I'm finally over the plague! It only took a month and a half, two rounds of anti-biotics and some serious cough syrup as well as lots of sleep to get better.

Things are going well. My entire stock of CD's has sold out so I just did a new pressing that will be ready for 4 Winds faire! Sadly things didn't work out for me to work SoCal this year, but hopefully I'll be there next year. I'm still waiting on the rest of my summer and fall schedule to iron itself out.

Speaking of 4 Winds, I head out on my great adventure Monday 3/24! I'm hoping to be to Texas by Wednesday so I can be well rested for faire on 3/29.

I will be keeping a travelogue, so check back here or at my blog for pictures, voice posts and other goodies I'll be posting.

I met Escarlata Cisneros (aka Debi McGee) at Wicked 2 years ago. She's a firecracker of a woman with a great smile. She emailed me after Wicked this year and asked if I would mind being interviewed for fairenews.com.
We had a great time chatting, and the result can be found here.

I had a fantastic time at Wicked faire! I saw old friends, made new friends, and brought back some great memories. Alas, I've also brought back illness.

Just call me a plague baby.

I went to the doctor today. It looks like I have some kind of lung/sinus infection either brought about by or in response to my asthma.

Curse you, weak lungs, curse you!!!!!

Seriously, it could be far worse. I don't have bronchitis, pneumonia, strep, or any of the fine bronchial illnesses I normally get.
I now have my favourite cough syrup (cherry flavoured codeine) and a z-pak. My hope is that I'll be up and about by V-day for my gig at the Owego Treadway.
